Scale and Age: the oak stump, while over 4 feet in diameter across its wider portion, is a mere 140-150 years old. Compare that to the reclaimed southern yellow pine beam, which as a tree was over 220 years old when felled, and yet only 16” in diameter. Both, in the afterlife, have met their maker, Mucho gusto!



Introduction to Woodworking - Tuesday Class

Have you ever looked at a tree, then looked at your coffee table and wondered how that happens?

Starting with the basic properties of wood and continuing on through machine use, joinery and finally the construction of your own piece of furniture, this introductory course will give you a thorough understanding of the principles of woodworking.
